Notice of Approval for Basic Research on Round Spermatid Injection (ROSI)

Following the confirmation of guideline compliance by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Commissioner of the Children and Families Agency, we have now been authorized to commence our basic research. Going forward, we will continue to advance this research with the goal of helping many patients suffering from non-obstructive azoospermia to conceive children.

Director

staffAtsushi Tanaka is the founder and current director of Saint Mother Hospital. Doctor Tanaka graduated from Juntendo University in 1975 with a Masters Degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Since graduation he has become proficient in the most current implantation techniques advanced ultrasound techniques, and holistic medical treatments (Chinese methodology). In 1981 Doctor Tanaka completed his PhD in reproductive technology. He is also licensed in the detection and assessment of female reproductive cancers as a heredity consultation. Doctor Tanaka belongs to the Obstetrics and Gynecological society of Japan and the America Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). He has been recognized by numerous organizations and is regularly asked to speak as an expert on the subject of reproduction. Recently Doctor Tanaka’s work was recognized by the world famous American medical journal Fertility and Sterility. He along with his staff is currently doing the most up to date fertility treatment. Doctor Tanaka is a very cordial, and approachable man who is fluent in both Japanese and English.

Professional Staff

We are proud of the St Mother Hospital family. Our staff consists of more than 110 members. Besides the physicians, nurses and a pharmacist, our family includes staff diligently working in our reproductive technology laboratory department ,  the administrative department, the information management department, outpatient services department, treatment department, general affairs, ward services, operation room and kitchen departments.  All of their efforts help us provide excellent professional care to each and every one of our patients.
