In Vitro Fertilization is a procedure that involves retrieving eggs from a female and sperm from a male, fertilizing the eggs with the sperm in a laboratory dish, and then replacing the resulting embryos (fertilized eggs) back inside the womanfs uterus. This treatment is used when timing therapy or Artificial Insemination with the partnerfs semen (AIH) has failed. This treatment is very effective for the people who have one of the following conditions.
This treatment is very effective for those patients who fall into one of the conditions below.
- Salpingemphraxis (Completely blocked fallopian tubes)
- Anti-Sperm Antibody (Person has an antibody that fights the production/development of sperm)
- Peritubal Adhesions (Adhesion of fallopian tubes cased by Uterine myoma, Endometriosis or previous operations, etc...)
- Asthenozoospermia (decrease in sperm motility), or Oligozoospermia (Low number of healthy sperm (mild to severe))
- Advanced age of Female
